Friday morning, a four-vehicle crash on U.S. 190 near Fort Hood Street left one car upside down and another leaning over a construction barrier.

Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez said the accident occurred when a Cadillac SUV traveling northbound on Old Farm-to-Market 440 failed to stop at a stop sign. The Cadillac went airborne across U.S. 190 and hit a Mazda, causing the vehicle to spin and hit a concrete barrier. The Mazda landed facing westbound and rolled into a ditch.

The driver of a Ford Ranger traveling eastbound on U.S. 190 witnessed the crash and hit a concrete barrier while trying to avoid hitting another vehicle.

A mother and child traveling in the Mazda were transported to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights with nonlife-threatening injuries. Two passengers in the Cadillac were transported to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, also with nonlife-threatening injuries, Miramontez said.

Hi. I was involved in this accident, I was the driver of the Mazda, thankfully me and my daughter are alright, but it has shaken us to the core. We lost our car, but we have each other. I'd like to Thank everyone who helped us, get out and calm us down.
