Traffic slowed to a near halt on U.S. Highway 190 in Killeen this morning following an eight-car wreck.

A vehicle pulled in front of another on the highway near W.S. Young Drive causing a "domino effect," said Carroll Smith, police department spokeswoman.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted off the highway and westbound traffic has slowed, she said.

Passengers were transported to various area hospitals with minor injuries.
