[sad]it's all about money, not safety. the city of Houston got rid of them because of too many mistakes.

Baylor, I got one for a right turn on a red I didn’t come to a complete stop there was no other traffic. No doubt in my mind a Killeen Police Officer would ever issue a ticket for that. It’s about the money it’s not about safety.

Why in the heck don't you just stop at the red light?

the company involved was convicted in Chicago of bribes. So they're dirty to boot.

Follow the money. Where is it going?

Ever since I got a ticket by this city rip-off I have boycotted Killeen. I refuse to shop here I shop in Temple, Belton, and HH. You will not get my sales tax money until you remove these rip-off cameras!

Red light cameras have nothing to do with safety and everything to do with revenue. Many civilized parts of the country have already ruled these scams and schemes illegal and Unconstitutional. The scam revolves around the sad truth that fighting the citation is neither efficient or inexpensive, coercing the free citizen to just pay the illegal "fine". No hearing, no trial-just send the money.

That is why I avoid Killeen if possible and only venture into areas with these cameras when absolutely necessary.
