HARKER HEIGHTS – At about 9:56 a.m. Thursday, a pickup truck traveling west on East Central Texas Expressway failed to yield right of way to a Nissan Maxima driving east on Edwards Drive, and struck the car, said Nolanville Police Chief Gary Kent.

The crash happened on the Heights-Nolanville border, and sent the female driver of the Maxima to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights with non-life-threatening injuries.

One Harker Heights police SUV and two motorcycles responded, as well as two Nolanville police units, Kent said. One firetruck also responded to the crash, which scattered glass across the intersection.
