A public transit bus and an SUV were involved in an accident Tuesday afternoon, sending two people to the hospital. The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Estes Drive in Killeen. One vehicle, a white SUV, had front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene. The HOP bus ran onto the sidewalk, striking a sign and a tree. Two individuals were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, Killeen police said. One of the injured was inside the HOP bus at the time of the accident. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

A vehicle accident involving a HOP bus is slowing traffic on Trimmier Road.

The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Trimmier and Estes Drive Paramedics took two individuals from the scene by ambulance.
