Killeen street maintenance crews will perform preventive maintenance on two sections of roads from Tuesday to Saturday, according to a news release.

The city will work on Duncan Avenue from W.S. Young Drive to 10th Street and Jasper Drive from Trimmier Road to Old Farm-to-Market 440.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The city said streets are identified to be slurry sealed each year, a process that extends the life of streets and provides a smoother riding surface. Slurry sealing involves the entire street surface, curb to curb, so cars in affected areas cannot park in the roadway. Traffic will be routed around the work zones during those maintenance hours. | 254-501-7567
