An 18-wheeler has crashed on Interstate 35 on the south end of Salado, causing traffic to back up in both directions.

The accident occurred around 7 a.m. when the northbound truck hit a concrete barrier, sending the barrier into the southbound shoulder. No other vehicles were damaged, and no injuries were reported, according to Jodi Wheatley, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Transportation.

She said a repair crew is working to fix the problem.
