A driver was detained Thursday night after a vehicle crashed into the garage of a home.

Killeen police said no one was injured in the incident, though a mother and child were in the residence when the crash occurred in the 2400 block of Westwood Drive about 9 p.m.

“Upon the officers’ arrival, they found a black in color vehicle had crashed into a residence,” said Ofelia Miramontez, Killeen police spokeswoman.

Damage to the garage was extensive. The driver’s name has not been released. Killeen police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
