Rain caused an area of southbound I-35 at the US 190 interchange to begin ponding last Sunday.

To prevent the possibility of vehicles hydroplaning, the inside (left) lane is being closed for about a mile near U.S. Highway 190/Farm-to-Market 436, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

If the rain continues, the inside lane will remain closed until the situation can be corrected. TxDOT urges motorists who travel that direction to allow extra time for the morning commute.
