Vigil against domestic violence is tonight

A candlelight vigil for Aleria’s Promise, an anti-domestic violence campaign, starts at 8:30 p.m. today in the west parking lot of Greater Vision Community Church.

Aleria Cyrus Reed had left her husband due to domestic violence in the home.

In January, while visiting her two small children at the home in Louisiana, her husband took her life and then his.

Mu Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. hosts the candlelight vigil at 2000 E. Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen.
