After a cold and rainy Wednesday, weather conditions are set to improve in time for Saturday’s Veterans Day celebrations.

Wind chills fell into the 30s on Wednesday, while rainfall amounts in the region ranged from one-tenth to a quarter inch.

According to the National Weather Service, no hazardous weather is expected for the region Thursday through Tuesday.

“We’ll be rain-free from Thursday through Veterans Day,” said Juan Hernandez, meteorologist with the NWS Dallas office.

Highs for Thursday and Friday will be in the 60s, with temperatures warming into the 70s beginning Saturday.

“We’re right around where we should be,” said Hernandez about the temperatures.

Only a slight chance of rain is in the forecast for Sunday and Sunday night.
