While area residents will continue to see temperatures in the mid-80s throughout the week, chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today’s high is expected to be about 88 degrees with a low tonight of 62. Monday’s temperatures are expected to drop slightly. According to the National Weather Service, the high is expected to be 84 degrees with a low of 65.

Late Monday into Tuesday, clouds are expected to move into the area and bring with them a 20 percent chance of rain. Tuesday’s high temperature is expected to reach the mid-80s while the low is expected to be about 67.

On Wednesday, thunderstorm chances will increase to 25 percent and the high is expected to be in the mid-80s.
