WEATHER

While unseasonably warm temperatures will continue into the first part of the week, the National Weather Service is predicting a cold front will drop temperatures mid-week.

“This time of year, the normal high is about 74 degrees,” said Steve Fano, meteorologist with the NWS Dallas office.

Sunday's high is predicted to be in the mid-80s, with Monday’s temperatures reaching the upper 80s.

Tuesday will be a bit cooler, with the predicted high in the low 80s. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.

The cold front pushes through on Tuesday night, with a low in the 50s. The high Wednesday should be in the 60s.

“Temperature swings like this are pretty common this time of year,” Fano said.

Gusty winds will also be a factor from Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Chances of rain run from 20 percent to 40 percent between Tuesday night and Thursday.

Toward the end of the week, temperatures will again begin to climb, with Friday’s high estimated to be near 70 degrees.
