Near-freezing temperatures continued to affect traffic in and out of the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport on Monday.

Hilary Shine, city spokeswoman, said 11 flights were canceled Monday — seven departures and four arrivals.

The airport also had seven delayed flights — five departures and two arrivals.

Freezing temperatures across Central Texas caused nine flight cancellations and five delays Thursday and Friday.

Shine said the city re-opened the bridge on W.S. Young Drive, just north of Veterans Memorial Boulevard on Monday, but if freezing occurred overnight, city officials would make the call to close the bridge again.

Officials closed the bridge Friday due to icy conditions.

Shine said the bridge is “very steep and very high.”
