A freeze warning is in effect from 9 p.m. today until 10 a.m. Wednesday for Bell, Coryell, Lampasas and many other North and Central Texas counties.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said lows will drop into the high 20s and low 30s across most of Central Texas.

Residents should bring pets indoors and protect plants and turn off sprinkler systems to avoid creating ice on streets or sidewalks, officials said.
