A severe thunderstorm made its way through Killeen on Thursday afternoon, inundating low-lying areas in a matter of minutes.

At Fort Hood, 1.19 inches of rain was recorded by 6 p.m. Thursday, and at Stillhouse Hollow Lake, 1 inch was recorded.

According to the National Weather Service, more showers and thunderstorms are expected today. There is an 80 percent chance of rain in the Killeen area.
