According to officials at the National Weather Service, Killeen was on the outskirts of the Wednesday night storms and received 0.57 inches at Skylark Field and 0.34 inches at Robert Gray International Airport. Fort Hood received 0.40 inches of rain.

Belton Lake was 73 percent full Thursday afternoon with a lake level of 583 feet following the rain, according to the Army Corps of Engineers website. It’s about 10 feet below normal. Stillhouse Hollow Lake was about 76 percent full with a lake level of 612 feet, about 9 feet below normal.

Wedel Cemetery Road, just south of Heidenheimer Road in East Bell County, was closed due to high water and road damage from flooding, according to Lt. Donnie Adams, a sheriff’s department spokesman.

Carroll Smith, Killeen Police Department spokeswoman, and city officials said they had no flooding or damage reported.
