Tornado watch in effect today

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for 41 North and Central Texas counties, including Bell, Coryell, Lampasas and McLennan, until 9 p.m. today.

A NWS meteorologist said storms are expected to move through the area beginning around 6 p.m. and some could be severe.
