Area residents may see some windy, wet weather to start the week, with rain possible Monday and Tuesday.

“Down in Killeen it may not arrive ... until Monday and continue having a chance of rain into Tuesday until it’s over with,” said Joe Harris, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. There is also a slight chance of rain Friday.

Otherwise, expect normal seasonal temperatures for this time of year. Daytime temperatures will be in the upper 80s and low 90s all week, but nighttime lows around 70 degrees might be a little above normal, Harris said.

“It will be muggy,” he said. “Dewpoints are up, so humidity will hold during the daytime. Anybody outside will get hot and sweaty.”
