Central Texas could be in for a wet week with a chance of rain throughout the period.

There is a slight chance of freezing rain or snow Thursday night and Friday morning, according to meteorologist Jesse Moore of the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Today’s temperatures are expected to reach the low 60s with a 40 percent chance of showers this morning, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures tonight are forecast to be in the low 30s with wind gusts reaching 20 mph.

Wednesday will be sunny, Moore said, with highs in the mid-40s and a low Wednesday night in the low 20s.

Thursday night, temperatures are expected to be below freezing with a 20 percent chance of rain and a possibility of freezing rain or snow. The low will be in the upper 20s Thursday night with a slight chance of snow and freezing rain Friday morning, Moore said.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high in the low 40s Friday. A 20 percent chance for rain continues throughout the day Friday and into the nighttime hours. The low is expected to be around 32 degrees.
