The Killeen Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening, which left a 53-year-old woman in serious condition.

Officers received a 911 call at 6:31 p.m. Sunday advising them of a major accident that occurred in the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 190, just west of State Highway 195.

Upon arrival, officers found an overturned white Toyota 4Runner and the injured Killeen woman inside.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound in the inside lane when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the guardrail, which caused the front left wheel to detach and the vehicle to overturn.

The driver was transported to the Scott and White Memorial Hospital in serious condition. No other vehicles were involved.
