July 25, 1985-October 24, 2017
Ms. Rinaldi died senselessly Oct. 24, 2017, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born July 25, 1985, at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, Mich.
After moving to Texas, Ms. Rinaldi joined the U.S. Air Force in 2008 (on her father’s birthday). During her time in the Air Force she was stationed at several places, including Lakenheath AFB in England; Minot AFB, N.D.; Nellis AFB, Nev.; and brief stints in Lithuania and Germany. She touched many lives around the world.
Ms. Rinaldi had many medals and awards to include Airman of the Year while stationed in England. She quickly attained the rank of staff sergeant. She was an honorably discharged, disabled veteran from the USAF. She followed her father’s wishes and continued her education, graduating with an associate’s degree in psychology earlier this year. She had a plan and worked it. She was planning to move back to Texas at the first of next year to pursue her master’s degree and to be near family in the state of Texas which she loved.
Ms. Rinaldi loved her miniature dachshunds she got while stationed in England. Spike and Thor were her children. Sadly Spike’s life was also taken during this ordeal. We are positive Ms. Rinaldi is holding Spike in her arms in heaven.
Ms. Rinaldi is survived by her parents, Mike and Alana Rinaldi of Killeen and Gail Rinaldi of Marquette, Mich.; an older brother, Alan (Tasha) Rinaldi of Lavergne, Tenn.; two sisters, Bonnie (John) Tripp-Ledesma of Marquette, Mich. and Alysse Rinaldi of San Antonio; two step-siblings, Shane (Cody) Lang of Rutland, Ohio, and Dax (Kayla) Holman of Racine, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Mickiewicz; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she considered family.
Her parents would like to thank a few of her closest friends who helped us through this tragedy and celebration of life: Beau Riley, Maria (Abbi 2.0) Laube, Liz Olson, Van and Toni Bentley and David and Karen Cocco and family. Ms. Rinaldi loved y’all as much as she loved her four-legged fur babies.
