A celebration of life service for Amy Kathleen Henderson Firth, 38, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Belton with the Rev. Darren Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.

Mrs. Firth died Nov. 26, 2012, in Temple. She was born June 15, 1974, in Temple to John and Margaret Henderson.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend.

She grew up in Copperas Cove, where she attended school from kindergarten through high school. She was a varsity cheerleader and member of the National Honor Society at Copperas Cove High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, and later completed a master’s degree in speech language pathology at Baylor University.

She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Michael Jarrod Firth, on Dec. 30, 1994, in Copperas Cove. She was employed as a speech pathologist at Kidz Therapez in Killeen and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton.

She enjoyed reading, writing and editing; working with children; spending time with her family; and was an avid gymnastics and baseball mom.

She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Michael Firth; son, Matthew, 11; daughter, Alyssa, 8, all of Belton; her parents, John and Margaret Henderson of Belton; a sister, Valarie Fratiani and her husband, Tony, of Allen; father and mother-in-law, John and Jean Firth of Copperas Cove; a grandfather, David Stults of Allen; nephew, Michael Fratiani; niece, Annalisa Fratiani of Allen; brother-in-law, Edward Firth and his wife, Summer; and nieces, Kate, Molly and Addison Firth, all of Sacramento, Calif.

Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or a favorite charity.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, which is in charge of arrangements.
