An inurnment with military honors for Anthony J. Bukowski will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Bukowski died May 13, 2014, in Round Rock. He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Maiden Creek, Pa., to Anthony and Helen Bukowski.

After his father died in 1938, the Bukowski family moved to Philadelphia in 1940.

Mr. Bukowski played sandlot baseball over the Philly area from 1941 to 1945.

In 1945 he joined the U.S. Marines. As a Marine, he served in both China and Guam. After a one-year break from the military, he joined the U.S. Army in 1948.

While stationed in Germany, he married Anna Einsiedier. As a U.S. soldier, he saw combat in Vietnam. He retired from the Army as a first sergeant in 1971. Later, he and Anna moved to Killeen, where he worked as a security guard. Anthony also earned his degree with honors from Central Texas College in 1982.

Mr. Bukowski was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Anna.
