Barbara Alice Teer

Funeral services for Barbara Alice Teer, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Skyline Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park in Waco.

Ms. Teer died Nov. 28, 2017, with her sister at her side. She was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Dallas.

Ms. Teer was employed by the Killeen Independent School District from 1963-1977 at Killeen High School and 1977-2006 at Ellison High School. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, Council of English Teachers, Class Room Teachers Association and the Executive Secretary of the TST of English for many years.

Ms. Teer was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Eva Teer and her brother, Michael Teer.

Survivors include her sister, Rosemary Stovall and husband David; her brother, Paul Beck; dear friends, Walter and Elaine Clark and Irmgard; niece, Ryan Teer Garza and husband Gilbert; nephews, Samuel Teer and wife Courtney and Benjamin Teer; great-nieces, Riley Teer, Sydney Garza and Tessa Teer; and great-nephews, Matthew Garza and Carson Garza.

Ms. Teer was a well-respected teacher, a wonderful friend and sister, faithful Christian and doting aunt.

The family requests memorials are made to Skyline Baptist Church building fund, Killeen Educational Foundation or Killeen Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.

Vale, Miss Teer! You were the BEST English/Literature teacher ever. You taught me, my sister, and my daughter and we've been much the better for it. My heartfelt condolences to your family.
