Funeral services for Lillie Belle Wade Brock, 94, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Killeen. Interment will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.

Mrs. Brock died Jan. 15, 2013. She was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Holmes County, Miss. She was educated in Belzoni, Miss., and attended Mississippi Delta College. She married Howell E. Brock in 1942.

She was active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, serving as den mother and leader. She was active with civic and community functions, serving as a volunteer at the Killeen Food Care Center for many years. She was a member of the Texas Hill Country Unit, Wally Byam Caravan Club International, where she served as an officer. She also was a member of the Retired Officers’ Wives’ Club at Fort Hood. She served as president of the Protestant Women of the Chapel in Germany. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Killeen and served on various church committees. She taught Sunday school for many years, serving as the Sunday School Outreach leader and class officer.

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Howell E. Brock; two sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include her three children, Mary Jo Burton and her husband, Sonny, of Killeen, Sherry Johnson and her husband, Mike, of Georgetown and Howell N. (Bubba) Brock and his wife, Shanna, of Killeen; one sister, Ollie Wilson of Lake City, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Killeen building fund.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
