Funeral services for Billy J. Walker, 79, of Belton, will be at 10 a.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Dan Galanffy officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton.

Mr. Walker died Dec. 16, 2013, in a Temple hospital. He was born March 12, 1934, in Keys, Okla., to William Thomas Walker and Stella Dee Fry Walker.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Scharlene McDonald on Jan. 13, 1958, in Amarillo. He was retired from his businesses, AMA Insurance and his car dealership. He was a member of Praise Fellowship Church.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by two sons, Kyle Walker and Bryan Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Scharlene Walker of Belton; four sons, Michael Walker of Pigard, Ore., Clint Ryan Walker of Amarillo, Gary Walker of Reno, Nev., and D. L. Walker of Pasadena; one daughter, Lori McLaughlin of Belton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, which is in charge of arrangements.
