Graveside funeral services for Birdie Cleo Watts, 86, of Killeen will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Killeen City Cemetery.

Mrs. Watts died Feb. 9, 2014, in Temple.

She was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Coryell County to Annie and William Chaney. She lived in Killeen for the past 65 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Killeen for over 60 years, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, nursery and VBS volunteer. She was an early morning walker at the Killeen Mall for many years.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson E. Watts; two sisters, Danna Reeves and Ceola Grudman; and three brothers, Albert Beard, Billy Ray Chaney and J. W. Chaney.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald K. Watts and his wife, Tammie, of Encintas, Calif., Mikel W. Watts and his wife, Glenda, of San Angelo and Charles E. Watts and his wife, Jan, of Killeen; two brothers, Reagan Chaney of Las Vegas, Nev., and Alton G. Chaney of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Killeen Building Fund, 3310 S. W.S. Young Drive, Killeen, TX. 76542 or Clements Boys and Girls Club, 304 W. Avenue B Killeen, TX 76541.
