Memorial services for Peggy Janell (Prescott) Monterroso, 47, of Copperas Cove, will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints in Copperas Cove.

Mrs. Monterroso died Feb. 3, 2014. She was born June 2, 1966, in Bossier City, La.

She graduated from Central Valley High School in Veradale, Wash., and studied at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

She married Herbert Monterroso on July 9, 1988, in Mesa, Ariz. She raised their family in Germany; Fort Lewis, Wash; Colorado and Fort Hood.

She was an accomplished singer, loving wife and mother, and a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Bryan (Adina); granddaughter Zannika Lynn; and daughter, Alicia; siblings, David (Marge) Prescott, Jatuan (Corky) Miller, Russ (Donna) Prescott, Nancy (Dorne) Ellsworth and Nicole (Gary) Dusbabek.

Visitation is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints in Copperas Cove. Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
