Graveside services for Elton S. Call, of Kempner, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.

Mr. Call died May 15, 2013, in Temple of complications from a stroke. He was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Pepperell, Mass., to Israel Mayo Call and Elva (Sherwood) Call.

He served 20 years in military service, first in the Navy and then in the Army and retired in 1967. He lived in Nashua, N.H., Deming, N.M., and finally, Kempner for the last 14 years with his wife of 57 years.

Survivors include his wife, Nan Call, of Kempner; three daughters, Hyun Pierson of Maryland, SuNan Call of Merrimack, N.H., and Janis Stout of Kempner; four grandsons, Andrew Pierson of Oregon, Erik Reynolds of New Hampshire, Aron Reynolds of New Hampshire and Justin Stout of Texas; three granddaughters, Kristine (Pierson) Kennedy of Massachusetts, Brittany Stout of Texas, and Cheyenne Stout of Texas; two great-grandsons, Tristan Stout and Wyatt Stout, both of Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Sylvia Kennedy of Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
