A celebration of life service for Erna Bradley, 86, of Killeen, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood St., Killeen.

Mrs. Bradley died in her sleep June 24, 2013. She was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Glogowek, Poland, to Teodor and Franziska Michalik.

She married her husband, Kenneth Bradley, in Mannheim in 1953. Her husband served in the Navy and in the Army. They had the opportunity to travel and meet a lot of loving friends and she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Bradley lived in Killeen since 1965, and worked at various positions with the Fort Hood Post Exchange. She received numerous recognition awards for her contributions of 25 years of devoted and faithful service to the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

She also did volunteer service at the Pershing Park Elementary School, where her great-grandson attended school. She devoted her life to her family and friends and wasn’t a stranger to anyone.

Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her siblings, Bernard Michalik, Hilda Hillet and Marie Samaj.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Bradley; daughter, Evelyn Hoenniger and her husband, Phil Hoenniger; son, Larry Bradley; daughter, Debbie McCulley and her husband, Mark McCulley; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
