Funeral services for Erwin Hunter, 77, of Harker Heights, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, with full military honors following at noon at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Hunter died Nov. 11, 2017, in Harker Heights. He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Lorain, Ohio.
He was dedicated to the military and served over 27 years before retiring as a command sergeant major. He served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Chong Hunter, and the following children, David Hunter, Doug Hunter, Debora Hunter, Paul Baek and Adam Baek. He had three grandchildren, Douglas Hunter Jr., Michael Hunter and Ashley Kolin. Mr. Hunter also had three great-grandchildren, Ryan Hunter, Ariah Hunter and Savannah Hunter. He was dearly loved by all.
The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowes Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends are invited to AFE9A Charlie Green Memorial Hall, 699 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Harker Heights, immediately following the burial.
