Graveside services for Ester Marie Powell Holt, 94, of Killeen, were held Tuesday at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury. A memorial service was held Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Killeen.

Mrs. Holt died Oct. 25, 2013, in Harker Heights. She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Kinta, Okla., to W.H. and Gertrude Ford Powell. She married James Holt on Jan. 4, 1941, in McAlester, Okla.

Mrs. Holt was a member of Granbury First Baptist Church for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Killeen at the time of her death. She lived in Fort Worth for many years and was a school teacher in the White Settlement ISD. After retirement, she moved to Granbury until 2005, when she moved to Killeen.

Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents and a son-in-law, Pat McDonald.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda McDonald of Harker Heights; sisters, Louise Reasoner and Yvonne Joplin, both of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shelley Christian and her husband, John, Coleman McDonald and his wife, Amanda; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Killeen.

Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury was in charge of arrangements.
