Services for George Hackney Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood St., Killeen. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Hackney died June 30, 2014. He was born March 4, 1960, in Melbourne, Fla., to George Sr. and Bessie Hackney.

George was known as “Bo” by his family and friends.

He graduated from Eau Gallie High School with the class of 1978. He married his wife, Chun, on June 18, 1986, in South Korea. He was the proud father to three beautiful daughters: Cynthia, Jessica and Rebecca.

Mr. Hackney retired from the Air Force in 2012 after 24 years of service to his country. After retiring, he worked as a contractor for DynCorp. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother who will be missed by those who had the good fortune to know him.

Survivors include his wife, Chun O. Hackney; his daughter, Cynthia Wallace; son-in-law, Tommi Wallace; daughters, Jessica Hackney and Rebecca Hackney; grandsons, Isaiah, Brody and Elaina; sisters, Lisha Stuckey, Nancy Hewitt and Mary Copponex; and brother Charles Hackney.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
