A celebration of life service for Jackie Leroy Pierce, 62, of Killeen, will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home in Killeen. Internment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.

Mr. Pierce died Jan. 3, 2014, in a Beaumont hospital of kidney failure. He was born Aug. 10, 1952, in Killeen at Burrow Clinic and Hospital to Albert Leroy and Winnie Mae (Babuy) Pierce.

He lived in Killeen most of his life, always returning home when he had to be away. He was an outdoorsman and always had something cooking on an outdoor grill or pit to feed anyone who stopped by.

He had an excellent reputation for his leather craftsmanship and was a tattoo artist of superior quality. His talent as an artist is evident in the works he left behind, the style of his artistry was unique and of first-rate caliber. He was well known for his high quality automobile mechanic work as well.

He was a loyal friend, and his personage was true and strong. He will be missed, loved and never forgotten.

Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Bonnie Buice Casillas and Naomi Wells Hall.

Survivors include one brother, Bennie J. Buice of Nolanville; two nephews, Lonnie Danser and Jamie Casillas; and five grandnieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 17 at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements. Offer condolences at www.chisolmsfuneral.com.
