Services for James A. Hopper, 82, of Killeen, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights with Dr. John Pelizzari officiating. Burial will be at Killeen Memorial Park.

Mr. Hopper died June 7, 2013. He was born March 17, 1931, in Milan, Mo., to William A. Hopper and Ethel Wheeler.

He married Susan VanNoy on Dec. 8, 1952, in Palmyra, Mo. They were married 57 years. He retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of service as well as civil service. He was an avid bowler.

Survivors include his four sons, James W. Hopper and his wife, Susan, of Temple, Michael W. Hopper of Round Rock, David O. Hopper and his wife, Lorraine, of England and Patrick D. Hopper and his wife, Heidi, of Round Rock; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Haley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
