Services for Janelle Cosper Burson, 78, of Salado, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Youngsport Church of Christ with Ed Milton officiating. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Burson died June 9, 2013, in a Temple hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Bell County to the late William Park “Hy” and Margaret (Dunlap) Cosper. She married Jack H. Burson on Oct. 3, 1953, in Salado.

Her working career began at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado, then at Griggs Equipment. She served as the Bell County tax assessor/collector and then later owned her own antique store in Salado. She was a master gardener, member of the Belton Rotary Club and a member of the Youngsport Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jack Burson of Salado; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Benjy Unger of Salado; son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Janet Burson of Salado; four grandchildren, Lance Unger, Ashley Unger, Megan Burson and Jamie Burson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton, which is in charge of arrangements.
