Services for Jeanette Williams Price, 87, of Florence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery.
Mrs. Price died Oct. 28, 2013, at home. She was born Sept. 18, 1926, to Ules Raymond Williams and Rose Preslar Williams. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Florence, where she taught Sunday school and served on the bereavement committee for many years.
She married Morris C. Price on Aug. 25, 1944. They had four children. She devoted her life to caring for many family members and friends. She loved to cook and try new recipes for anyone who would sit at her table. She would change the recipe multiple times to make it better. Her home was always open for friends, family and other guests. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by many.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Morris; sister, Millie Koch; brothers, Raymond Lee Williams, James Williams and Lloyd Gene Williams; one niece and one nephew.
Survivors include her son, Jim Price and his wife, Bonnie; son, Ronnie Price; daughter, Sharon Satterfield and her husband, Hollis, all of Florence; daughter, Lea Ann Batey and husband, Robert of Temple; grandchildren, Regina McCarley and her husband, Wes, Carey Satterfield and his wife, Katie, Jessica Dawson and her husband, Karl, Jared Satterfield and Donnie Tunsky and his wife, Lisa; five great-grandsons, Hunter and Walker Satterfield; Caden and Gage McCarley and Joseph Penny; brother-in-law, Glen Price and his wife, Janie; sisters-in-law, Grace and Jessie Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church in Florence, the Alzheimer’s Association of Texas, or the Susan G. Koman Foundation.
Pallbearers include Terry Tuttle, Wayne Price, Charles Fritsch, Wayne Sherry, Jerry McCartney and Tim Ed Atkinson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Florence.
