Memorial services for Johnnie Jordan Taylor, of Killeen, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.

Mr. Taylor died Aug. 15, 2013. He was born in Louisburg, N.C.

He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for 28 years, and retired in Killeen in 1990. He was a Vietnam veteran and received numerous military medals and awards during his career.

After his retirement, he held positions with the city of Harker Heights and the city of Copperas Cove.

His favorite hobbies were gardening, restoring cars and woodworking.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney and Annie Taylor; and three older brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Shaun, Michael (Jacqueline), and David (Ashleigh); brother, Robert Taylor; sister, Tennie Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
