Joseph Degi Jr., 89, of Fort Collins, Colo., died Jan. 1, 2014. He was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Canton, Ohio, to Katy and Joseph Degi.

Joseph married Sylvia Degi on May 7, 1951, in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Joseph served as minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Llano for many years. Prior to that calling, he served as an U.S. Army chaplain for nearly 30 years. During World War II, he served in the Seabees in the South Pacific. He also enjoyed working with Friends of the Library in Copperas Cove.

Joseph was very creative and enjoyed making stained glass for friends and family. He also enjoyed woodworking and photography.

Survivors include his sons, Bruce (Kathy) Degi of Lakewood, Colo., Greg (Sandy) Degi of Fort Collins, Colo., and Keith Degi of New York, NY; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
