Funeral services for Kali Athinos Strongheart, 28, formerly of Killeen, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights. Interment will immediately follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Strongheart died Dec. 18, 2017, in Killeen. He was born on July 16, 1989, in Tracy, California to Theresa Paradela.
Mr. Strongheart enlisted in the United States Army in August 2006 as an infantryman. While serving in the U.S. Army, he received numerous awards: Army Commendation Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Oak Leaf Cluster), NATO Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
During his time in the military, he was stationed in Texas, Germany, Georgia and served two combat tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan.
Mr. Strongheart was a loving son, caring brother, and a loyal and supportive friend.
He was always willing to help someone that needed it. He had a love of motorcycles and cars and was involved in clubs in Texas and Georgia. He also enjoyed doing modeling work in his free time.
Mr. Strongheart is survived by Jenn Strongheart, Victoria Rebmann, Elizabeth Paradela, Rosie Paradela, and a multitude of friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, which is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.heritage-funeralhome.com.
