Memorial services for Linda Lee Harmon will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Worship Center in Copperas Cove.

Ms. Harmon died Oct. 21, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 23, 1957, in Germany to Jack and Clara Harmon. She graduated Copperas Cove High School in 1975.

Ms. Harmon was an outspoken animal activist.

She dedicated her life to animals and worked several years for Killeen Animal Control and continued her dedication to animals after she left her service with the city of Killeen.

Her work and dedication to various rescue groups saved the lives of many unwanted and abandoned animals.

Ms. Harmon was passionate and convinced about her beliefs and values.

Her values and convictions led to her having many loyal and dedicated friends.

Ms. Harmon was preceded in death by her mother, Clara, in September of 2011.

Survivors include her father, Jack of Kempner; her sisters, Sandy of Wisconsin and Vicki of Georgia; three brothers, Jeff of Kempner, Mike of Kempner and Kris of Tahoka; several nieces and nephews; and a whole host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider donating money to the SPCA or the local animal shelter or rescue group of your choice.
