A celebration of life service for Lino R. Gonzales will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mr. Gonzales died June 8, 2014. He was born in San Antonio to Inocenio and Matilda Gonzales.

He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served many years working in the churches Fest of All.

He enjoyed playing golf, fishing in Port Aransas with his family and loved the outdoors.

The family wishes to thank Millie and Arturo Cortez, Hill Country Nursing Center staff and third-floor nursing staff at Metroplex Hospital.

Survivors include his six children, Vangie Mankin (Ted) of Lakeland, Fla., Pablo Gonzales of Huntington, W.Va., Edward Gonzales (Minerva) of Kingsville, Richard Gonzales (Elva), Cyndi Rowe (Chet) and Sandra O’Brien, all of Killeen; sisters, Cande Zamarron and Anita Munoz of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; beloved dog Mary; and numerous four-legged grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
