Funeral services for Margaret B. Walters, 88, of Harker Heights, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Killeen. A private interment will follow at Pecan Grove Historical Cemetery in McKinney.

Mrs. Walters died Dec. 5, 2017. She was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Gatesville to Steve and Lula Blanchard.

Mrs. Walters was a registered nurse for 45 years, working at numerous hospitals in the Dallas area. She spent the last 15 years of her career working for the Veterans Association in Waco and Kerrville. She was an active member at First United Methodist Church in Killeen.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Thomas E. Walters Sr.; son, Thomas E. Walters Jr.; and brothers, David Blanchard and Harold Blanchard.

Mrs. Walters is survived by her cherished children, Mary E. Walters-McElroy and her husband, Robert, and Charles S. Walters and his wife, Julie; precious grandchildren, Andrew Walters, Sarah Walters and Jack Walters; and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Killeen.
