Graveside services and interment for Marilynn Adams Nairn, Shawnee Mission, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen.

Mrs. Nairn died July 24, 2013. She was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Killeen to Thomas Harris and Gertrude Cox Adams. She graduated from Killeen High School in 1943 and attended Abilene Christian College in 1944.

She married Geoffrey Mac. D. Nairn Jr. on Sept. 16, 1944, in Camp Blanding, Fla.

After raising two daughters, Mrs. Nairn went into nurse’s training and graduated with honors from Research Medical Center in 1968. She worked at Research for 14 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Country Club Christian Church, the Tri C’s class and Circle 17.

Survivors include her two daughters, Denise Barnard of Guthrie, Okla., and her husband, Joe, and Dienna Boley and Anton Ward of Magnolia, N.C.; three grandchildren, Adam Kruse and his wife, Jamie, and son Tucker Lee, Brook Kruse and her three children, Jackson Kale, Johnny Tate and Julia Emalyne; and Courtney Kruse.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Kidney Foundation or to Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64113.
