As God grants her eternal rest, mother Mattie will be greatly missed by her daughters, family and friends. Her big smile, her creative hands of many talents and her love of singing will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her. Among our most memorable family memories are our Christmas dinners and programs, creative hand-made gifts and elegant flowers and our personalized memory photo books.

She was a member of God’s Way Christian Baptist Church of Taylor and under watch care at God’s Way Community Baptist Church of Killeen. She served in the women’s department and decoration committees.

The family expressed its deepest gratitude to those who supported our mother in the recent year, especially Gladys Johnson, aunt; Dorothy and John Matthews, best friend; MaTina Howard; and the compassionate and dedicated care of the staff of New Century Hospice.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Garfield Adams; and granddaughter, Ursula Lilley.
