Funeral Services for Ottilie Goldsborough, 79, of Copperas Cove, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Mrs. Goldsborough died July 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Czechoslovakia to the late Franz and Barbara Schiffert Dietz. Her family moved to Germany when she was a child, and she later served the local communities as a midwife before she married.

She met John Elmer Goldsborough in Germany while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They were married in 1958 and she served as a faithful military spouse and devoted mother and Oma. After retirement, the couple settled in Copperas Cove in 1988.

She will be remembered for her devotion to God and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Survivors include her children, John A. Goldsborough and his wife, Diane, Barbara M. Goldsborough, Patricia Sarhani and Charles Goldsborough; brother, Franz Dietz; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, which is in charge of arrangements.
