Funeral services for Rhonda Lea (Roach) Button will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen, with the burial at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mrs. Button died Jan. 7, 2014. The sun rose on December 18, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, for Rhonda Lea (Roach) Button.

She is the only daughter to Harry F. Roach and Mary Ann (Johnson) Freeman.

Rhonda was someone who was very outgoing and loved children and sports activities. She most always took the role of “team mom” on her sons’ sports teams.

Her favorite sport growing up was softball, where she lettered three consecutive years as varsity pitcher at Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, Ohio.

She met and married the love of her life of 22 years, Jeffrey Button, and to this union, two sons.

Rhonda also worked for the Killeen Independent School District at Venable Village Elementary as a nutritionist for the past couple of years. Rhonda enjoyed being outside and being surrounded by her family and friends.

She leaves cherished memories for her devoted husband, Jeffrey Button; two sons, Morgan W. Button and Jeffrey L. Button; her mother, Mary Ann Freeman; and one brother, David A. Roach.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killen, which is in charge of arrangements. Offer condolences at www.crawfordbowersfuneralhome.com.
