A celebration of life ceremony and reception for Sandra “Anne” Deadman Everson, 68, of Harker Heights, will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple. A private inurnment service will be held separately.

Mrs. Everson died Oct. 7, 2013, after a courageous, six-year battle with breast cancer. She was born Aug. 10, 1945, in Panama City, Fla. In 1963, she graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi. Anne received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in public service from Western Kentucky University. She worked as a licensed professional counselor for over 35 years; most of that time in private practice in the Killeen-Fort Hood area. She loved playing tennis, card games, dominoes, sewing, and traveling, and was happiest when she was spending time with family and friends.

She recently celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary with her husband, retired Lt. Col. Randy L. Everson. They married on Aug. 20, 1968, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mrs. Everson will be remembered by all for her loyal and loving nature, and her service to others.

Mrs. Everson was preceded in death by her parents, Elette and Ernest Deadman; her sister, Lillian Claypool; and her brother, Ernest Deadman.

Survivors include her husband, their three children, Kelly Cook (Heike) of Round Rock, Lindsey Everson (Stacie) of Houston and Colleen Gonzalez (Jason) of Houston; six grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Emma, Keely, Avery and Elie; two sisters, Charlotte Parker (Malcolm) of Houston and Molly Kahn (Martin) of Irving; seven nephews, Mike Parker, Richard Parker, Glen Claypool, Robert Claypool, Michael Deadman, Andrew Kahn and James Kahn; and three nieces, Kathie Wood, Annie Vaughan and Kathryn Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in support of cancer research or to a charitable organization of your choice.
