Scott Lansdale

Scott Lansdale

A memorial service for Scott Lansdale, 52, is planned for the spring.

Mr. Lansdale died unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2018, in Temple. He was born Aug. 30, 1965, in Killeen, to Raymond and Sunny Lansdale.

He was raised in Killeen and attended Killeen High School, where he played football, baseball and ran track. He won second place in pole vaulting at the Texas High School Track Meet in 1983. He attended the University of Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1988.

Mr. Lansdale, or “Scotty,” as many people knew him, lived life 100 percent. He threw himself into the world with passion, warmth, heart, humor and conviction. He was generous to a fault, stubborn, hard-headed and the best friend anyone could ask for. He was truly a unique individual who liked fast cars, slow boats, small dogs and especially pretty women.

Mr. Lansdale was preceded in death by his brother, Bret, and father, Raymond.

He is survived by his mother, Sunny Lansdale; his spouse, Maryjane Shelby; his ex-wife, Suzanne Lansdale; and three wonderful children, Mason, Clay and Molly. He will be dearly missed.

Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at
